Job Description

The Town of Springdale is seeking a full-time Zoning Administrator to assist the Director of Community Development in planning, organizing, and coordinating town-wide community and economic development operations and initiatives. The position will be filled at the Zoning Administrator I, II, or III level, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience. Applicants should clearly indicate which position level they are applying for. Qualifications for the three levels include: Zoning Administrator I Level A bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, communications, or a closely related field, AND sufficient experience to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform duties, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience must be in a professional office setting, with responsibilities including managing processes, coordinating projects, and communicating with multiple team members. Zoning Administrator II Level A bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, communications, or a closely related field, AND two years' experience in public community development, land use, and zoning office management, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience must be in a professional office setting, with responsibilities including managing processes, coordinating projects, and communicating with multiple team members. Zoning Administrator III Level A bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, communications, or a closely related field, AND five years' experience in public community development, land use, and zoning office management. Work experience must be in a professional office setting, with responsibilities including managing processes, coordinating projects, and communicating with multiple team members. Qualified applicants must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
Summary:
Each of the positions perform a variety of professional, general administrative, and complex clerical duties needed to expedite the day-to-day processes, procedures, and projects of the Community Development Department. Compensation:
Competitive compensation, consistent with training and experience, is offered.
Anticipated hiring range is:
Zoning Administrator I $20.76
  • $26.47/hour ($43,181
  • $55,058/annually) Zoning Administrator II $23.02
  • $29.35/hour ($47,882
  • $61,048/annually) Zoning Administrator III $29.12
  • $37.12/hour ($60,570
  • $77,210/annually)
