JOB SUMMARY:

Transports and stack bins or pallets for a smooth and efficient operation. Also uses dumper as necessary. Must be able to perform all forklift driving positions at Stemmer 9.

PRODUCTION STANDARDS

Good lift truck driving skills and safe working habits. Store & transport fruit keeping accurate track of fruit. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of department Ability to make quality decisions about condition of fruit. Properly fill out Drivers Daily Forklift Checklist and maintain accordingly. Must be proficient at verifying and documenting Centerlines as well as following the Centerline Decision Tree. Must be proficient at completing all CIL's effectively within established deadlines and maintain a proactive approach to detecting defects in order to prevent breakdowns. Scanning of labels. Keeps work area clean and well organized that meets with Sun-Maid's 5S and good GMP standards. Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

Fast paced work area. Department is exposed to outside temperatures and elements. Work area may be wet. Activity Occasionally (up to 3 hrs) Frequently (3-6 hrs) Constantly (6-8+ hrs) Crouching, Walking, Standing, X Squatting, Kneeling, Crawling X Climbing, Bending (waist), Twisting (neck) X Bending (neck), Twisting (waist) X Simple Grasping (both hands) X Reaching (above and below shoulder level) X Fine Manipulation (both hands) X Repetitive use of hand required X Pushing & Pulling (both hands)

X REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Must know different varieties of fruit. Be a qualified forklift operator. Must successfully complete training / certification, and maintain certification. Understand and follow OPL's. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
