Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Psychologist to join our educational team for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic school environment. The School Psychologist will collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success, well-being, and equitable learning opportunities. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about child development, behavioral health, and special education, eager to apply their expertise in a vibrant school setting. Location Minnesota Valley Cooperative Center (MVCC) 450 9th Ave. Granite Falls, MN 56241 Position would include assignment in one or more member districts. Travel required. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assist in determining special education eligibility Interpret and communicate assessment results to IEP teams, staff, and families in a meaningful and accessible way Consult with teachers, administrators and families to design and implement academic and behavioral interventions Support the development and monitoring of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) Assist in crisis prevention and response, including risk assessments and short-term counseling Promote a positive school climate through initiatives such as PBIS, mental health programming and staff training Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines Qualifications Valid Minnesota licensure as School Psychologist (or eligibility for licensure through PELSB) Knowledge of special education laws and due process procedures Experience conducting assessments and writing comprehensive evaluation reports Strong consultation, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, staff and families Preferred Experience supporting students in PreK-12 educational settings Training in trauma informed practices and culturally responsive service delivery Training in school avoidance strategies and supports Familiarity with
MTSS, SEL
