POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Director provides strategic leadership for all guest-facing revenue and engagement functions at Prairie's Edge Casino Resort. This includes direct oversight of the Marketing Department, Players Club, Gift Shop, and Banquet Sales, as well as collaboration with Food & Beverage, Hotel, and other departments to plan and execute promotions, specials, and property-wide initiatives. This is a Full-Time salaried position. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement the annual marketing plan for Casino, Hotel, RV Park, Gift Shop, and Banquet Sales. Align marketing, retail, and loyalty initiatives with property revenue goals and tribal priorities. Oversee reinvestment strategy to ensure offers and promotions are financially responsible and competitive. Provide leadership and direction for the Marketing Department, including the Media/Sales Manager and Promotions/Guest Services Manager. Oversee Players Club operations, including tier structure, benefits, service standards, and promotional execution. Direct Gift Shop merchandising strategy, retail promotions, pricing, and inventory-driven marketing. Guide Banquet Sales efforts, including lead generation, event coordination, and profitability analysis. Manage database segmentation, offer modeling, and reinvestment controls using CRM and analytics tools. Monitor player behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to adjust strategy as needed. Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and responsible gaming standards. Lead the development and execution of promotions, drawings, tournaments, and special events. Oversee entertainment booking, contract negotiation, and event profitability. Chair weekly BEO and event-coordination meetings to ensure cross-department alignment. Support RV Park and campground marketing, including seasonal campaigns and occupancy-driving initiatives. Direct digital strategy including website content, SEO, paid digital advertising, social media, and email marketing. Partner with Food & Beverage to plan and promote specials, holiday menus, buffets, and themed events. Ensure all departments receive timely and accurate marketing support. Provide leadership, direction, and performance expectations for the Marketing Department, Players Club, Gift Shop, and Banquet Sales teams. Hire, train, coach, and evaluate department-level managers. Oversee and approve staffing plans, schedules, and hiring recommendations submitted by department managers. Ensure marketing materials and events reflect the values and identity of the Upper Sioux Community.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Associate's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of marketing leadership experience; casino or hospitality marketing strongly preferred. Experience with CRM systems, database marketing, retail operations, and digital advertising platforms. Demonstrated success in promotions, events, entertainment, and cross department collaboration
Certifications & Licenses:
Must pass a State and Federal background check and a pre-employment drug screen that does test for THC.
Work Environment:
Standard office environment with frequent presence on the casino floor. Exposure to moderate noise and secondhand smoke in designated areas. Must have the ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
