Job Description

Position Overview:
Evaluate newly delivered machinery and equipment, ensuring all components are functioning properly and meet required operational standards before being placed into service Review job specifications to confirm production requirements align with equipment capabilities; identify alternative solutions for higher-capacity jobs to minimize excessive wear Follow all established safety procedures during operations, maintaining equipment to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment Provide guidance to operators on proper machine usage to reduce the risk of errors or workplace incidents Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with modern maintenance practices and technologies Assist in the selection and procurement of new equipment, assessing performance and durability; coordinate replacement of underperforming assets when necessary Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and avoid unexpected equipment failures Maintain detailed service records to monitor equipment condition and lifecycle; recommend replacement when reliability declines Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently to restore equipment functionality Communicate equipment status, concerns, and maintenance recommendations to leadership or stakeholders Organize and prioritize daily maintenance tasks based on urgency and production needs Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and processes Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC and/or assembly preferred) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Proficiency in diagnosing CNC equipment issues (both electrical and mechanical) Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and independently Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance equipment Working knowledge of workplace safety standards (OSHA) Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external partners
