You will work primarily at your own workstation, performing detailed hand and power tool assembly while seated for most of the shift. The position offers a consistent 1st shift schedule with some flexibility in hours and provides training for candidates who bring strong dexterity, reliability, and the ability to keep pace with production. Responsibilities Assemble and install electrical components, sub-assemblies, and wiring according to instructions, blueprints, and schematics. Position, align, and adjust electrical parts to facilitate proper wiring, fit, and final assembly. Examine parts, components, and completed assemblies for defects, damage, or misalignment and correct issues as needed. Perform detailed electronic assembly work, including small wire assembly, crimping, and soldering tasks while seated at a workstation. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and wiring connections. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, fasten, and secure components. Assemble and route wire harnesses, ensuring clean, organized, and secure wiring layouts. Follow established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures throughout the assembly process. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation to support consistent production flow. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and timelines. Essential Skills At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar hands-on environment. Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle small wires and components accurately. Ability to sit comfortably for extended periods while performing repetitive assembly tasks. Experience with electrical or electronic assembly, including working with wiring and small components. Ability to read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for assembly and wiring tasks. Proficiency using basic hand tools and power tools safely during assembly work. Attention to detail when examining parts and assemblies for defects and quality issues. Reliability in attendance and the ability to maintain a steady work pace throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling wire harnesses and routing wiring in an organized manner. Hands-on experience with crimping tools for terminals and connectors. Soldering skills for electronic assembly and small wire connections. Background in mechanical assembly and working with mechanical components. Ability to interpret and follow written work instructions and production documentation. Comfort working in a small team environment where communication and cooperation are important. You will work with electrical and electronic components using hand tools and power tools, as well as equipment for crimping and soldering. The environment is production-focused yet relaxed, with a consistent workflow and clear expectations around quality, safety, and attendance. Dress is practical and appropriate for a light industrial, warehouse-based assembly setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudsonville, MI.
