6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Fabrication/Machining Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for operating a variety of fabrication and CNC machining equipment to produce custom parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a 1st shift position in St. Louis, MO with the opportunity for hire. CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment.
• Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
• Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
• Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions.
• Follow written instructions from internal and external customers and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.
• Perform work independently with minimal defects.
• Basic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerances.
• Complete work order paperwork.
• Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required.
• Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
• Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior.
• Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
• Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency.
• Assist with training other team members.
• Follow safety rules and quality standards.

CNC Operator Requirements:

• Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor on work order priority.
• Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts.
• Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to pass QPS and company screening process.
