The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. Responsibilities Load and unload freight from trucks and containers using forklifts or clamp trucks. Accurately pick orders and prepare them for shipping, ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and documented. Maintain an organized dock area, ensuring that all materials are stored properly and safely. Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving operations. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation. Assist in inventory counts and audits as required. Skills Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Experience with order picking techniques and materials handling practices. Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures in a warehouse environment. Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar warehouse machinery. Understanding of warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
