POSITION START DATE
8/17/2026 Although the official fall season doesnt' start until 8/17/2026, there will be various activities, planning and interactions which will take place prior to the season as part of preparation. Previous high school coaching experience is recommended. The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program. The applicant must be able to display the following attributes: A commitment to high ethical and professional standards A demonstrated ability to lead young student athletes toward academic and athletic excellence A strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders Skilled in organization, time management and a commitment to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program A great understanding of the training, skill development and coaching techniques involved in high school cheerleading The ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the sport of cheer throughout the community A commitment to the importance of academic excellence and achievement for all student-athletes in the program Your application should include: A cover letter detailing your experience related to this position and working with students. A minimum of three letters of recommendation. A minimum of three references complete with contact information.
