Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Technician to join our team at Columbia Union School. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting student learning and enhancing educational experiences. The Instructional Technician will work closely with teachers and students to facilitate effective learning environments, assist with instructional materials, and contribute to the overall success of our educational programs. Responsibilities Assist teachers in the preparation and implementation of instructional activities and materials. Support students in small group or one-on-one settings to reinforce learning concepts. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior. Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Assist in the setup and maintenance of classroom technology and educational equipment. Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional materials for diverse learning needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational community. Perform administrative tasks as needed, including record-keeping and data entry. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment. Basic knowledge of instructional technology and educational software. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development. Availability to work part-time hours, including afternoons or evenings as needed. Background check clearance as required by school policy.
