Aug 17, 2026 Job Description 2nd Grade Elementary Classroom Teacher West Fork Community School District - Rockwell Campus Rockwell, Iowa The West Fork Community School District is seeking a passionate, student-centered educator to serve as a 2nd Grade Elementary Classroom Teacher for the upcoming school year. West Fork CSD is committed to providing a positive learning environment focused on academic excellence, strong relationships, and preparing every student for success. Position Summary The successful candidate will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning for all students. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure high levels of achievement and positive student experiences. Qualifications Valid Iowa Teaching License with appropriate elementary endorsement(s) Strong classroom management and instructional skills Knowledge of best practices in elementary literacy and mathematics instruction Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement Experience with technology integration and differentiated instruction preferred Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to Iowa Core Standards Use assessment data to guide instruction and support student growth Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff Participate in professional development and district initiatives Support the overall mission and goals of the district Contract Information Full-time teaching position Competitive salary and benefits package based on the district salary schedule Coaching and extracurricular opportunities may be available Application Process Interested applicants should apply through the Teach Iowa website or send the information to Ashley Flatebo at ashley.flatebo@westforkschool.
