Jul 1, 2026 Job Description The West Fork Community School District is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered professional to serve as a Wellness Center Director and High School Athletic Director. This dual-role position is responsible for providing leadership, organization, and oversight of the district's athletic programs and wellness/fitness facilities while also serving students through instruction aligned with a Physical Education endorsement. Primary Responsibilities

Athletic Director Duties:

Provide leadership and supervision of all high school athletic programs Ensure compliance with all Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union rules and regulations Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff Develop and manage athletic schedules, transportation, and event coordination Oversee athletic budgets, equipment, and facilities Promote sportsmanship, student participation, and positive community engagement Coordinate communication with students, parents, staff, and community members

Wellness Center Director Duties:

Oversee daily operations of the district's wellness/fitness center Develop and implement wellness programming for students and community members Ensure safe, effective, and appropriate use of equipment and facilities Coordinate scheduling and supervision of the wellness center Promote a culture of health, fitness, and lifelong wellness

Teaching Responsibilities:

Provide instruction in Physical Education and/or related coursework as assigned Create a positive and engaging learning environment Align instruction with Iowa Core standards Build strong relationships with students and support their academic and personal growth Qualifications Valid Iowa teaching license required Physical Education endorsement required Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Previous coaching and/or athletic administration experience preferred Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and community Compensation & Benefits Salary based on district schedule and experience Competitive benefits package Application Process Interested candidates should apply through Teach Iowa and submit: Letter of application Resume Copy of teaching license Transcripts Letters of recommendation About West Fork CSD West Fork CSD is a collaborative and student-focused district committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities and promoting excellence in academics, activities, and wellness.
