Job Description
Job Title:
Molder Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Molder to join our team. As a Molder, you will be responsible for operating machinery to shape and mold various archery products. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plastics injection molding and blow molding processes is helpful. Adhere to plant Safety Practices, Attendance Policy, and Schedule Attainment. Molding of archery targets, including prepping mold, injecting liquid foam into the negative model, pulling processed molds, trimming excess flashing and assembling completed targets Work with various chemicals Examine and inspect produced product to ensure that it meets company standards Maintain a well organized working area Report product, and other information on specified forms and recordsPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to -- Lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs frequently, unassisted.
- Stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours per day)
- Stoop/Crouch/Squat and lift 25-35 lb targets from bent position frequently.
- Required to reach and pull with hands and arms repeatedly during the day.
- Run vibrating hand tool frequently.
- Push/Pull 10-25 lb molds frequently.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs quality checks on products. Responsible for communicating possible improvements to processes and contributing to continuous improvement objectives. Responsible for general housekeeping of the shop area; works all scheduled hours up to seven days a week including overtime; maintains good attendance; adheres to all safety policies, procedures and rules; and performs other duties as assigned by top management.II - JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires: l Ability to use a pallet jack. l Knowledge of manufacturing. l Good hand/eye coordination and ability to work quickly. l Must have excellent time management skills. l Must have excellent detail for quality. l Knowledge of light machinery including hand trimmer, compressed air blower, liquid foam. l Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work. l Must be able to read and write in order to complete scheduling sheets. l Must be self-motivated and have good decision-making skills. l Must be highly organized.
