Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3K and 4K Lead Teacher who holds a valid New York State Early Childhood Education (NYS ECE) teaching certificate. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for young learners. Your energetic approach will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom experience. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, incorporating best practices in early childhood education, literacy education, and preschool activities. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and physical development through engaging lessons and interactive play. Collaborate with families to support children's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage classroom environments effectively by applying classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and a respectful learning atmosphere. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques; adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet developmental milestones. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards and safety protocols in toddler care and childcare settings. Qualifications Valid NYS ECE teaching certificate required Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments, including classroom management and lesson planning. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners. Experience working with diverse populations including children with special needs; understanding of inclusive education practices is desirable.
