3rd Grade ELA & Math & Science Tutor - Part Time, in Person in North Potomac

About the student 3rd grade student The student is a 3rd grader who is homeschooled and he needs to be tutored in ELA, math, and science. The family would prefer a tutor who is an experienced educator with experience working in a classroom with special needs students. The family is open to having 2 tutors who split the sessions between them. The student is currently behind on his curriculum. He needs structured support to reinforce grade-level skills in reading, writing, science, and math and to close gaps that have developed in his coursework. Without consistent pacing, clear instruction, and accountability, staying on track with curriculum expectations can be challenging in a homeschool setting. The student needs to strengthen foundational skills, complete grade-level material with accuracy, and establish effective learning routines. The goal of the tutoring is to help the student catch up on his 3rd grade curriculum and build consistent academic progress. The family wants 4 hour sessions 4 times a week, from 10am-2pm, Tuesdays through Fridays. The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in North Potomac near the Westleigh Recreation Club. Qualifications Ideal candidates have prior experience working with students with special needs. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching elementary ELA, math, and science. Ideal candidates will have a valid teaching certificate. Ideal candidates will have a background in special education. Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles) Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor. Student Availability
