Immediately Job Description The Craftsbury Town School District is seeking a dynamic teacher to serve as an Academic Interventionist, helping build learning environments at the elementary level. Applicants with teacher-coaching experience are desired. Interventionists analyze assessment data and provide "real-time" research-based interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) approach, such as push-in and/or pull-out in the core curricular areas to struggling students that are currently below grade level based analysis of assessment data. They will assist staff in transforming their practice from a teacher-driven model to a student-driven model, and will deliver coaching to staff around providing targeted interventions in a classroom setting. Requirements Vermont certification as a licensed educator or the ability to obtain a license. Demonstrated knowledge of best instructional practices and research-based intervention practices delivered in a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Ability to coach adults in a learner-centered way; knowledge and understanding of adult learners and demonstrated ability to motivate and teach adults in a variety of instructional settings Demonstrated knowledge of the VT proficiencies relevant to the particular school/grade level assignment Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher with knowledge and mastery of a variety of effective instructional strategies Demonstrated capacity to be self-directed, organized, and collaborative Knowledge of Google Apps for Education and learning management systems in general Craftsbury Schools (aka Craftsbury Academy) has been in existence since 1832. The school has seen many changes and renovations over our almost 200-year history, but what has remained the same is our sense of community within the school and town. Craftsbury Schools serves around 200 students in grades PreK-12 on two campuses. Our PreK-2nd graders meet on our campus located at 83 North Craftsbury Road, Craftsbury, VT, and our 3rd-12th graders meet on our campus - sometimes referred to as the Academy campus or Craftsbury Common campus - located about a mile up the road, at 1422 North Craftsbury Road, Craftsbury Common, VT.
