Shift:

 4am to 12:30 pm

Tuesday-Saturday Summary:

• Accession incoming specimens and route specimens to the appropriate laboratory or send them out to the appropriate satellite facility.
• Prepare specimens for the laboratory prior to laboratory processing/testing, including sorting and labeling specimens and accompanying paperwork.
• Data enter specimen, patient, and client information from specimen requisitions into the laboratory database.
• Identify, alert, and hold specimens with incomplete processing information until resolved.
• Verify requisitions are entered correctly into the database.
• Scan, copy, and file specimen paperwork.
• Perform other duties such as preparing labels and forms for the accessioning process.

Qualifications:

0-2 years of work experience. High school degree or related biological sciences degree preferred. Proven attention to accuracy and deadlines. Proven ability to work well independently and within a team.
