Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Bring your passion for pediatric physical therapy to a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students' growth and development! A dedicated school program near Louisa, VA, is seeking a skilled physical therapist to provide targeted care for a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), twice a week. As the program expands, there's potential for an additional student to join, allowing you to make an even greater impact.
What You'll Bring:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with children preferred Proven ability to develop and implement IEP-driven therapy plans Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, family members, and other service providers Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules and documentation effectively
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized physical therapy sessions on-site twice per week for a student with an IEP Assess, document, and regularly update student progress in alignment with their goals Collaborate closely with special education teams and families to adapt interventions and track outcomes Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic activities into the broader educational setting Remain flexible and prepared to support additional students as needs arise within the program This opportunity offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where your expertise will help shape students' daily experiences and long-term outcomes.
