Accountant 5

TemPositions is excited to partner with a large, mission-driven public research institution serving communities across California to hire an experienced Accountant 5. This is a high-level accounting role supporting Financial Services and working on complex financial reporting, systems, and analysis initiatives.

Full-time, hybrid

Compensation:

$48/hour (flexible depending on experience)

What You'll Do:

Lead preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Oversee general ledger entries and reconciliations Perform advanced financial analysis and forecasting Support and strengthen internal controls Lead or support accounting system implementations and enhancements Coordinate UBIT-related reporting Provide guidance on projects and serve in a lead capacity

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong expertise in Oracle and/or PeopleSoft Experience with financial system implementations or transformations Advanced Excel skills (complex analysis and reporting) Deep understanding of internal controls and financial reporting standards Ability to work independently on complex initiatives

Preferred:
