We are conducting a confidential search for our client, who is a hotel/restaurant located in the Lansdale/North Wales, PA area. This position is on-site, and will be 4-6 hours per day, weekdays. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a hotel and restaurant business in the Lansdale/North Wales area. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can independently manage the books, maintain financial accuracy, and support business operations with timely reporting and organization. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the property by managing daily transactions, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end closing. This role works closely with ownership and management and will be responsible for handling all core accounting functions. The business does employ a Night Auditor, who manages overnight hotel audit functions and daily operational reconciliations. Key Responsibilities Manage all bookkeeping and accounting functions for the hotel and restaurant operations Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and daily sales reports Review and reconcile reports submitted by the Night Auditor Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage vendor payments and invoice processing; track client invoicing Prepare and process payroll or coordinate with payroll provider Accurately collect, review, and submit all payroll data on time, including event payouts, tip reporting, and management percentages Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports Handle sales tax, occupancy tax, and other required filings Maintain vendor records and payment schedules Assist ownership with financial analysis and reporting Coordinate with outside CPA/accounting firm for year-end reporting and tax preparation Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls Support audits and maintain organized financial documentation Maintain strict internal audits to safeguard assets, particularly regarding restaurant inventory and venue vendor payments Qualifications Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required Hospitality, hotel, or restaurant accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of general accounting principles Ability to handle complex reconciliations and identify discrepancies in high-volume transactions Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Experience with POS systems and hotel management systems is a plus High level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience QuickBooks or similar accounting software Payroll processing Multi-department or hospitality accounting Financial reporting and reconciliations Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible weekday schedule Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing hospitality business
