Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students near Lansdale, PA, with a focus on individualized instruction and meaningful progress. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant school setting where your expertise will help shape student success. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 12, 2026, making a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Your schedule will follow school hours, Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm, including a daily planning period for lesson preparation and professional collaboration, as well as a 30-minute lunch break. This balance supports effective teaching and job satisfaction.
Key Qualifications:
Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification (will also consider candidates with Emergency Certification who have substantial IEP experience) Confidence and proficiency in writing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management and communication skills Previous experience working with students requiring special education services is highly desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to address each student's unique educational needs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families Provide direct instruction and differentiated support in both individual and small group settings Keep accurate records, progress reports, and maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment This rewarding opportunity provides an hourly rate ranging from $35 to $45, commensurate with your experience and certification.
