Accounting and Payroll Associate

Job DescriptionJob Description Accounting Assistant Salinas, CA $35-$45 per hour We're hiring an Accounting Associate to support payroll and accounts payable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for someone detail-driven who enjoys resolving discrepancies, supporting employees and vendors, and keeping payroll and AP processes running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Process and maintain payroll, time, and leave records Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, and related documentation Match, code, and process vendor invoices and payments Respond to employee and vendor inquiries; resolve discrepancies Review payroll reports and audit trails for accuracy Prepare, print, and distribute payroll and AP checks Maintain documentation and ensure policy compliance Support AR and other accounting tasks as assigned Requirements 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (1+ year in payroll) High school diploma or GED Strong communication skills and attention to detail Experience with union payroll is a plus Apply now to join a stable team where accuracy and accountability matter.
