Job Description

About the Role The Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real is seeking a highly organized, people-savvy Bishop's Assistant/Diocesan Coordinator to join our team in Salinas. This full-time position is split approximately 50/50 between direct administrative support to the Bishop and broader support for diocesan staff, programs, governing bodies, and events. What You'll Do Manage the Bishop's calendar, travel, and ecclesiastical and canonical requirements Coordinate with congregation leaders for the Bishop's annual visitations Serve as Secretary to the Commission on Ministry and as Vocations Secretary Maintain confidential diocesan records (paper and electronic) Serve as receptionist for phone and in-person visitors Manage the Sargent House facility use calendar and provide hospitality for onsite events Support Annual Convention planning and provide required annual reports to The Episcopal Church Provide backup assistance for certain accounting duties What We're Looking For 3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat Pro Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion Familiarity with The Episcopal Church (a plus) Spanish language skills or willingness to develop them Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Schedule Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with occasional weekend availability for diocesan events

From $63,000.00 per year
