Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Finance Department in adhering to financial regulations and accounting standards.Education & Experience:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience Three years' experience in accounting preferred.Other Requirements & Skills:
Must have valid driver's license, insurability, and reliable transportation. Minimum personal auto coverage of 50,000 bodily per person/100,000 per accident/ 50,000 property Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, and word processing. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with data entry, typing, and general office equipment. Customer service and/or public relations experience required. Strong attention to detail. Ability and motivation to work independently and without direct supervision as well as in a team and with the public. Openness to learning new skills and technology as necessary; must participate in training as required.Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for reporting financial information including voucher submission to funding sources on a monthly and/or quarterly basis which includes compiling required documentation for various programs. Assist with benefits, employee leaves and open enrollment Responsible for tracking employee status change forms, phone lines, equipment tracking, etc. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Support payroll processing and related functions Maintain general ledger entries and documentation Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation Assist Business Intelligence Director with tax filings and compliance as needed Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to update and maintain accurate records Respond to internal and external financial inquiries under the supervision of the CFO and BID Must be enthusiastic about promoting the mission of CCA; be willing to work towards the good of the entire agency, and to act as an ambassador of CCA throughout the community.
