Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students' success in a dynamic school environment near Salamanca, NY. As a full-time School Psychologist available to start as soon as possible or for the next school year, you'll be instrumental in evaluating student needs and crafting individualized action plans to help every learner thrive. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Arts, Science, or Education Current certification as a School Psychologist (or working toward certification) Minimum of three years' experience providing psychological services to students across K-12 Demonstrated expertise in diagnostics, evaluation, and counseling
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred by parents or school administrators, ensuring clear, timely reporting Meet with families to discuss evaluation results and recommendations Perform classroom observations and age-appropriate assessments, including those for kindergarten Serve as a resource to staff on diagnosis, learning needs, and specialized interventions Participate as an active member of CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees Support crisis response by providing student counseling and consultation to colleagues Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff Facilitate referrals to external agencies based on student needs Handle additional related duties assigned by the Director of Special Education This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and families, making a tangible impact on school climate and student wellbeing.
