What You'll Do As an Accounting Intern, you will support the Accounting and Finance departments with a range of entry-level accounting tasks and administrative functions. This role is designed to develop practical skills while contributing to the day-to-day efficiency of the finance team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the processing of vendor invoices, matching purchase orders to invoices, and preparing payment batches for review and approval Assisting with customer invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances Supporting month-end and year-end close activities including bank reconciliations, account tie-outs, and balance sheet reconciliations Assisting with the review and processing of employee expense reports, ensuring receipts and coding are complete and consistent with company policy Organizing and maintaining financial records, both digital and physical, in accordance with Puck's document retention policies and audit readiness standards Entering and verifying financial data in the company's accounting and ERP systems, ensuring records are accurate, current, and properly coded Providing accounting and administrative support to other departments as needed Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or accuracy within accounting workflows and communicating observations to the accounting team Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis, research, and special projects as assigned

Required Education & Experience:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Completion of at least one semester of coursework in accounting, including principles of financial or managerial accounting
Preferred Education & Experience:
Prior internship, part-time, or work experience in an accounting, finance, or office environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems Physical Requirements This is primarily a sedentary role in a professional office environment. Team members must be able to: Sit, stand, and alternate positions throughout the day Lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as needed Lift up to 10 lbs. Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Travel Travel is not generally required for this position. Occasional local travel may be needed for bank runs or other administrative errands.
