Accounting Intern

Job Description:

Position Summary:

This is an entry-level position for an Accounting Intern with an opportunity for hands-on experience. The Accounting Intern is responsible for collecting, organizing, and interpreting data. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clear and actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

Scope and Function:

Collect and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders. Analyze data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into data solutions. Maintain data documentation and supporting schedules. Prepare ad-hoc reports for management, as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve data-related problems. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to management. Eagerness to continuously learn and improve data processes and analytical capabilities. Power BI or Tableau experience or training preferred.

Education/Experience:

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university. Must be in good academic standing as defined by the institution.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

In office and manufacturing environment.

Part-time:

less than 30 hours per week. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
