Accounting Manager

Job DescriptionJob Description Accounting Manager Hands-on manager overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, maintaining accounting records, and producing periodic and ad-hoc financial reports.

Responsibilities:

Understand and follow established financial policies, procedure, controls and reporting systems Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable; supervising and assisting when needed Identify any issues and propose solutions Prepare general ledger journal entries and financial reporting Provide information to external auditors and proactively monitor internal controls; indentifying corrections and areas for improvement Collaborate on financial strategy development Prepare special and adhoc reporting by analyzing and summarizing trends. Comply with federal, state and local legal reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, Master's Degree preferred CPA preferred 4+ years of experience Public accounting and internal control experienced preferred Financial statement preparation and analytical skills Strong sense of ownership Critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to communicate and work across an organization Keen sense of improving processes and creating efficiencies
