Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description We are partnering with a high-growth, well-known company on its Accounting Manager search. If you're looking to join a successful organization with strong upward mobility and a collaborative culture, this role is an excellent opportunity. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting for a private equity-backed organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller and FP&A team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP. Assist in leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements. Support private equity reporting, including investor reporting and capital activity tracking. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in collaboration with FP&A. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree a plus. CPA preferred. Public accounting experience preferred. Experience with private equity-backed company reporting and consolidations preferred. Hands-on experience managing the general ledger (GL), including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
