Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role leads the month-end close process, manages audits and compliance, and supports strategic financial planning and treasury functions. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for leadership, board presentations, and external stakeholders. Perform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain and map general ledger accounts to consolidated financial statements. Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews; prepare supporting documentation and collaborate with external auditors/CPA firms. Manage treasury functions, including cash forecasting, banking activity, and reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure proper coding, documentation, and timely processing. Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist with implementing new accounting standards. Support tax, insurance, and regulatory audits as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 3-7+ years of accounting experience (public accounting background preferred). Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
