Job Description:

Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general accounting activities, including maintenance of accounting systems, and upholding standards and supporting delivery of key financial management reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage a team of accountants, overseeing the daily workflow of the General Ledger department. Provide constructive and timely direction on performance of direct reports. Duties and Responsibilities Fully support Controller. Preparation of Financial Statements and provide meaningful analysis for sales and operations management. Manage general ledger coding and mapping. Oversee and manage Treasury Management including Payment Approvals, Banking and Credit Card systems. Support Tax department, and coordinate to ensure accounting policy aligns with tax goals. Manage annual Avflight Budget process. Audit internal accounts to ensure compliance with internal standards Manage external financial audits including annual domestic and international as well as local Payroll or Tax, City or State audits. Support Tax Department supplying financial data for domestic Tax Returns and Canadian Corporate Tax preparation Required Skill Set Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 5 years' experience managing degreed accountants. Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures. Proactive Take-charge personality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail with a Business First focus. Expert Level of proficiency with Excel. Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
