Job Summary The Minnesota State Lottery is seeking a highly skilled financial professional to serve as the agency's key expert in financial reporting, budgeting, and fixed assets. This position functions as the team lead for the Finance group and plays a critical role in developing and administering the agency's operating and long-range budgets, preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings advanced accounting expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This position supports the CFO in shaping financial policy, maintaining the agency's financial infrastructure, and presenting clear, accurate, and insightful financial information.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide team leadership and direction to the Finance department to ensure objectives are met in the most efficient and effective manner. Provide technical expertise and end-user support as Power User to help facilitate and maintain an effective and efficient accounting department. Coordinates, prepares and administers the agency's annual and long-range budgets, works with operating officials on projected needs and devises methods of adjusting budgets so that agency programs may be carried out efficiently and effectively.
