Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, along with supporting union reporting, contractor-controlled insurance programs (CCIP), and billing for smaller service jobs. This position requires someone who can manage multiple processes in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices, ensuring accurate job cost coding and proper approvals Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain organized and accurate AP records and supporting documentation Process and track union dues and handle related reporting requirements Manage contractor-controlled insurance program (CCIP) tracking, compliance, and documentation Prepare and issue invoices for small service jobs, including follow-up on collections as needed Communicate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams regarding payment and billing matters Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Qualifications:
2+ years of construction accounting experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the construction or electrical industry Familiarity with Spectrum construction software Exposure to job costing, union environments, or contractor insurance programs
Compensation:
