Job Summary The Accounting Technician I-Accounts Receivable assists our finance team in day-to-day activities in support of our projects. The primary functions of the Finance Assistant/Accounting Technician I are to assist with Purchasing and Accounts Receivable as well as administrative duties. Employment will be at our main office located in Palmer, Alaska. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate billings to customers operating on various billing schedules. Assist project managers with invoicing, billing schedules and general financial account management. Cross-training and back-up with areas in the Finance Department Assist in other areas of the Finance Department. Qualifications High School Diploma Required. Associate's degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred, but not required. Must have basic accounting skills and knowledge of computer-based software, Sage Intacct experience preferred, but not required. 3 years' accounts receivable, or general accounting experience required. Must have strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills. Previous experience with construction firms is preferred but not required. Must have strong organization and communication skills Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines Requirements This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in Alaska due to business and employment compliance requirements.
