Activities Assistant

Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity for residents. Collaborate with care teams to develop personalized activity plans that accommodate individual abilities and preferences. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of planned events and spontaneous engagement opportunities. Foster an inclusive environment by working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs, adapting activities as necessary. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and progress to inform ongoing care plans. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote understanding of activity programs and gather input for continuous improvement. Experience Prior experience in recreational therapy within assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and senior care best practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care environments enhances your ability to adapt activities effectively.
