Activities Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to join our team at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in developing, planning, and implementing a diverse range of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Duties Assess residents' interests, needs, and abilities to create engaging activity programs Plan and lead a variety of activities such as group exercises, arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and holiday celebrations Coordinate with nursing staff, therapists, and volunteers to integrate activities into the residents' care plans Maintain detailed records of resident participation and activity outcomes Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and facility policies Qualifications 2+years of experience in activities coordination, preferably in a long-term care setting Must have a flexible availability Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Creativity and the ability to engage with residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Passion for improving the lives of older adults Proficient in activity documentation Join us in creating vibrant communities where seniors thrive through engaging activities that inspire joy, connection, and purpose!
