Summary As an Activity Assistant at Spring Valley Post Acute, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging activities and programs. This position is essential in fostering a sense of community and well-being among our residents. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents. Assist in organizing special events and outings that promote social interaction. Provide support to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized activity plans. Encourage participation from all residents, including those with varying levels of ability. Document participation and feedback from residents to improve future programming. Requirements Experience in dementia care or memory care settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred.
