Jul 1, 2026 Job Description White River Valley Middle School, a close-knit and student-centered 6-8 public school located in the beautiful community of Bethel, VT, is seeking a passionate and organized Activities Director to lead and grow our 6-8 athletics, wellness, and arts programs.

Position Summary:

The Activities Director will oversee all aspects of our extracurricular/athletic programming, promoting sportsmanship, physical health, teamwork, and school spirit. This is a part-time stipend position ideal for someone who believes in the power of youth sports and wants to make a meaningful impact on student development in the Middle Grades.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and manage seasonal sports teams and after-school athletic activities Recruit, support, and coordinate coaches and volunteers Develop athletic schedules, secure facilities, and coordinate transportation as needed Promote student participation, equity in sports access, and team-building experiences

Qualifications:

Experience working with youth in educational or athletic settings Strong organizational and communication skills Coaching experience and knowledge of youth athletics preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
