Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist working with students for the 2026-2027 school year. This role, located in the beautiful region near Bethel, VT, is dedicated to helping children and adolescents reach their fullest potential in a supportive educational setting. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are also encouraged to apply, as your skills and expertise are highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or COTA certification with school-based experience Expertise in delivering OT services in a school environment Ability to develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans based on student needs Exceptional teamwork skills and flexibility when collaborating with educators and families Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with IEPs Strong organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Carry out assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills Provide direct OT services and interventions as specified in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion in the classroom Maintain detailed service records and contribute to progress reports and IEP meetings Consult with educators to recommend strategies and adaptive tools that promote student independence Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams, supporting shared goals for student achievement and wellbeing This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic school setting.
