Schedule:
Sometimes you'll work weekends, holidays, or evenings—but those are often the most fun events anyway! As our Activities Director, you'll be the heartbeat of our community, bringing energy, imagination, and compassion to everything you do. You'll design and deliver a diverse calendar of programs that keep our residents engaged, connected, and thriving physically, mentally, and socially. Think art classes, music sessions, themed parties, scenic outings, and the occasional dance-off!
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and host daily, weekly, and monthly activities—everything from art classes to trivia nights, wellness walks, and themed parties. Get creative with new programs based on resident interests (have a chess club? knitting circle? tiny dog parade?) Organize special events and outings like lunch trips, movie days, music performances, and holiday celebrations. Be a visible, positive presence in the community—encouraging participation and helping new residents get involved. Track participation and engagement and adjust programming based on feedback and resident needs. Maintain an activity budget and order supplies. Lead and inspire your activity assistant(s) and volunteers. What You Bring Previous experience in senior living, recreation, or social services setting is a big plus. A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in recreation therapy, social work, or a related field is a bonus. Valid Drivers License CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to get it. Creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep appreciation for older adults. Leadership and organizational skills Experience planning and leading group events, activities, or programs. Why Join Us?
