Job Description

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking qualified and student-centered Automotive Adjunct Faculty Instructor - to provide professional instruction in the assigned subject area. This position is responsible for developing curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and delivering high-quality instruction that supports student learning, skill development, and successful course completion. Please note:
Payment for employees assigned to this position is made as APO, lump-sum, fee-for-service.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus, ensuring desired course outcomes meet stated objectives. Prepare curriculum and syllabi for assigned coursework. Evaluate students' progress in attaining course goals and objectives. Administer and grade class examinations. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades. Attend in-service training, workshops, and seminars, as needed. Maintain program certification requirements. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in training areas. Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. Meet with students, staff members, and supervisors, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Skill in developing lesson outlines and instructional materials. Knowledge of the vocational area of assignment. Skill in presenting subject matter clearly and effectively. Skill in administering tests to evaluate student progress. Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in interpersonal relations and working with adult learners. Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of student information systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies.
