Job Description
Part-time Education Requirements:
A Master's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field is required. Candidates with a Master's degree in a related field must have at least 18 graduate credit hours in Geography, including GIS coursework.Experience Requirements:
College-level teaching experience or demonstrated ability to teach GIS subject matter is required. Experience using industry-standard GIS software and tools, such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, web mapping applications, spatial analysis tools, and/or open-source GIS platforms, is strongly preferred. Experience teaching in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats, is a plus. Professional experience applying GIS in fields such as planning, environmental science, public safety, transportation, business, utilities, local government, remote sensing, or related areas is also preferred.Required Documents:

The GIS/Drone Technology Department is seeking effective, collaborative, and enthusiastic adjunct faculty to teach courses in the Geographic Information Systems Certificate program. Adjunct faculty should be committed to teaching GIS concepts, technologies, and applied geospatial skills at the community college level. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop course materials, deliver instruction to a diverse range of students, and support student learning in GIS software, spatial data management, cartography, spatial analysis, and remote sensing. Teaching assignments may include introductory GIS courses as well as more advanced courses depending on departmental need and the candidate's qualifications.Similar remote jobs
