The Director of Nursing is to oversee all nursing personnel working throughout the hospital. They are also responsible for coordinating with the nursing managers to provide objectives, long-term goals, strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling and employee relation oversight.ABOUT IDAHO FALLS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

1. Assist in the creation, modification, training and roll out of the new Electronic Medical Record, (Cerner) 2. Establish appropriate staffing models. 3. Create accurate Job Descriptions for Department Managers and charge and staff nurses. 4. Assist in recruiting, vetting and hiring new staff. 5. Aide in the planning and execution of preparing the new hospital for staff utilization and patient care. 6. Participate in strategic planning for nurse recruitment, nurse retention, program development and physician relations. 7. Organize and attend committees appropriate for nursing staff and other departmental involvement. 8. Create new policies and update existing policies to help improve the level of care for each patient 9. Ensure that each nurse on staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws. 10. Implement quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible levels of service.BENEFITS
