Job Description

Job Summary The American Mural Project (AMP) is seeking an organized, reliable, and collaborative Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, communications, program coordination, and leadership support in a creative, mission-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping systems organized, helping teams stay connected, and supporting meaningful community and arts-based work behind the scenes. About AMP The American Mural Project is home to one of the largest indoor collaborative art installations in the world, celebrating the work of everyday Americans through creativity, education, and community engagement. AMP is a dynamic nonprofit organization that values collaboration, curiosity, and a strong commitment to its mission and community. What You'll Do Office & Administrative Support Support daily office operations and administrative workflows Manage incoming mail, filing systems, and document organization Coordinate office supply orders and vendor communication Complete bank runs and assist with secure handling of deposits Organizational Coordination Maintain organized digital and physical records Support internal workflows and route materials to appropriate team members Assist with scanning, document preparation, and file management Communications & Program Support Prepare letters, acknowledgments, and general correspondence Support donor and stakeholder communications Respond to or route incoming inquiries professionally and promptly Assist with event logistics, registrations, and program support HR & Payroll Support Collect and organize timesheets and administrative documentation Support leadership with scheduling, project coordination, and special initiatives Maintain awareness of AMP's programs, events, and operational priorities Required Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team Reliable follow-through and strong administrative coordination skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a nonprofit, arts, education, or community-focused environment Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms Experience supporting events, programs, or community initiatives Interest in the arts, education, or community engagement Work Environment This position works closely with AMP leadership, staff, visitors, and community partners in a collaborative and creative nonprofit environment.
