Job Description

The Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator supports the administrative operations of the school while coordinating events, staff support activities, and operational functions. This position works closely with the Principals to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication, and successful execution of school programs and events. Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support Provide administrative support to the Principals and assist with daily operational needs Support administrative projects, scheduling, communications, and office coordination Assist with implementing, scheduling, and managing supervisory staff assignments Maintain substitute teacher lists and assist with arranging substitute coverage Support the substitute teacher hiring and interview process Assist with reviewing and proofreading report cards, progress reports, and other school documents Communicate operational needs and recommendations to administration Attend and assist with weekly staff and teacher meetings Participate in staff meetings, devotions, and other required school functions Operations & Staff Coordination Assist with morning and afternoon carpool and day camp operations as needed Coordinate room parents in partnership with administration, including classroom support activities and parent communications Communicate with teachers and assistants regarding playground supervision and operational needs Lead or assist with supervisory staff meetings, including playground supervisors Supervise classrooms when necessary to support school operations Coordinate and oversee Prep After School programming Assist with school security coordination, including visitor management procedures Event Coordination Plan, coordinate, and support school events, staff hospitality functions, and special programs Assist with organizing staff appreciation and hospitality events Coordinate logistics for large school events, including but not limited to seasonal programs, fundraisers, and community events Work with vendors, volunteers, staff, and administration to ensure successful event execution Assist with setup, scheduling, communication, and on-site event support
Personal:
Sensitive, dedicated and mature evangelical Christian of good character and reputation. Must have a firm commitment to the mission of Horizon Prep, the Staff Handbook and the ministry's Statement of Faith.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
