Position Overview:
Villa Kali Ma is seeking a compassionate, visionary Clinical Director to lead our trauma, mental health and substance abuse treatment programs for women. We are seeking a dynamic, team oriented, positive focused leader to assist in the delivery of comprehensive care across both inpatient and outpatient facilities. The Clinical Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of treatment services that address the unique needs of women in recovery. This position will include collaborating, implementing, and overseeing an integrative, holistic treatment approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit while fostering healing and resilience. The Clinical Director will guide a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed and evidence-based practices while meeting the unique needs of each client and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision and Staff Development:
Oversee the clinical operations of inpatient and outpatient programs, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission. Supervision and training of Associate Therapists and Interns. Ensure programs are trauma-informed and culturally responsive, focusing on empowering women to heal and fostering positive change. Lead, supervise, and mentor a diverse team of clinicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and fostering professional development. Conduct quarterly All-Staff Trainings with focus on trauma-informed care, integrative approaches, and gender-specific treatment strategies.
Client Care and Advocacy:
Oversee client treatment plans, ensuring they are individualized, holistic, and tailored to the specific needs of women, including addressing trauma, family dynamics and co-occurring mental health disorders. Monitor client progress and outcomes, adjusting strategies to optimize recovery and growth. Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases, offering expertise in trauma and substance abuse treatment.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all clinical practices meet state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards. Maintain compliance DHCS and Joint Commission standards as they apply to clinical care, including regular staff education, documentation reviews, and adherence to policies and procedures. On-going Policy and Procedure development to ensure quality care and safety. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure adherence to ethical standards.
Strategic Planning and Innovation:
Collaborate with executive leadership to set strategic goals, address program needs, and expand services. Stay current with emerging research and trends in holistic, trauma-informed, and substance abuse treatment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; licensure as a clinical professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a treatment center setting, with a focus on trauma, mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Skills:
Expertise in trauma-informed care. Experience with leading and supervising a team of Associate Therapists and Interns. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of DHCS requirements and Joint Commission standards. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Familiarity with the ASAM criteria and co-occurring disorder treatment.
