Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required. Experience working in an education environment is preferred. Excellent computer skills and strong communication skills required.
Description:
The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to work with energetic students, and the ability to relate well within the school community. SDST is committed to diversity in our workplace and welcomes the opportunity to consider all candidates. This position provides direct administrative and operational support to the Athletic Director and the district's interscholastic athletic program. The following are the list of responsibilities for the position: Assist the Athletic Director in the planning, organization, and coordination of athletics and co-curricular events. Coordinate all athletic transportation arrangements, including submitting requests to the transportation department, communicating schedules to staff, community, and students, and updating changes as needed. Coordinate game official assignments, including communication with official assignors, confirming coverage, and preparing payment vouchers for officials and event staff. Maintain and coordinate calendars, schedules, and facility reservations for all athletic practices, games, and meetings, including working with the operations department to support facility use requests. Serve as a liaison between the athletic department and coaches, parents, students, vendors, staff and school administration. Prepare and distribute communications including announcements, newsletters, and game or event schedules. Maintain accurate records related to student athlete eligibility, physicals, and consent forms in accordance with school and state regulations. Manage inventory, ordering, and distribution of athletic equipment, uniforms, and awards. Monitor and track athletic department budget expenditures and assist with purchase orders and invoices. Maintain and update the school district website, ensuring accurate and current information related to athletic programs and events. Process all fundraising requests and assist with all athletic-related financial transactions, including deposits. Coordinate event staff scheduling, including game workers, and complete associated payment vouchers. Assist with coordination of all end-of-season athletic awards. Terms of employment:
12 month, full-time, 7 hour per day position to be determined in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement to begin as soon as possible. Hourly rate is $24.05/hour and will increase to $25.37/hour as of July 1st.
