Administrative Coordinator - Technology Support & Service Center
POSITION DETAILS
Queensborough Community College of the City University of New York (CUNY) is acomprehensive college in Queens which offers over 40 associate degrees, certificates and continuing education programs. Queensborough Community College (QCC) is dedicated to academic excellence and rigor and to providing an affordable, high-quality education to precollege, college, and lifelong learners. Reporting to the Director of Technology Support Services Center (TSSC) the Administrative Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for users seeking IT support, ensuring a professional and efficient experience. This role is responsible for greeting clients, logging and routing service requests, coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records, and supporting communication between users and technical teams to keep daily operations running smoothly. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties, the Administrative Coordinator will: Monitor daily operations of the IT/TSSC Service/Front Desk, ensuring efficient visitor flow, consistent phone coverage, and prompt response to service requests across multiple channels (e.g., email, ticketing/tracking system, phone, and walk-ins). Leverage advanced knowledge of the ServiceNow or related platform to monitor, manage, and escalate tickets; maintain accurate documentation, ensure timely dispatch, and track resolution in coordination with IT/TSSC teams. Coordinate technician dispatch based on operational schedules and service priorities, enabling real-time communication, campus wide collaboration and effective task assignment. Act as a liaison between IT/TSSC teams to ensure seamless collaboration, operational continuity, and optimal resource utilization. Perform administrative functions including scheduling, reporting, documentation, and procurement to support operations and team efficiency. Support field operation improvements by implementing tools such as; asset tracking, maintenance, software / hardware utilization records, and reports. Contribute to service quality and responsiveness initiatives by providing feedback and supporting continuous improvement aligned with strategic goals. Maintain flexibility to work nonstandard and rotate schedules as required by operational needs. Enter facility work orders in Archibus, purchasing requisitions in CUNYBuy, and maintain supplies for the IT/TSSC department. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with administrative or operational support, preferably in a technical or service-oriented environment. Experience supervising staff or teams, assigning tasks, setting schedules, timekeeping Experience with database entry and/or ticketing systems (e.g., IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, KACE asset management system) Demonstrated experience applying strong organizational, multitasking, and written/oral communication skills in a professional setting. Experience coordinating across teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with budgeting, fiscal planning and administrative reporting Experience supporting students, faculty, or staff, with demonstrated problem-solving in a service-oriented role.

Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information. Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections. Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities. Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing. Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department. May supervise office staff and student workers. Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$56,720 - $66,154. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
