Job Description

Description Prominent, Wilmington Delaware client seeks a Legal Administrator with proven real estate law expertise, who can provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal staff. This role ensures the smooth functioning of legal department activities such as financial management, human resources, account reconciliations, facility management, oversight of office workflow, overseeing technology systems, communication coordination, budgeting & forecasting, records maintenance, marketing and business development, case management, and processing of accounts receivables. The ideal candidate should have operational/strategic planning expertise, payroll & benefits experience and know of federal state, and local employment laws. What you get to do everyday
  • Oversee and support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the firm.
  • Partner with firm leadership to support business planning, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with financial management, including budgeting, expense monitoring, financial reporting, and other accounting-related activities.
  • Analyze financial information and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Support human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, policy implementation, and other personnel matters.
  • Help develop and improve administrative processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient firm operations.
  • Support compliance with applicable firm policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Perform additional administrative, financial, and operational duties as needed. Requirements The ideal Legal Administrator MUST have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration. Other requirements for the Legal Administrator role include and are not limited to:
  • 4-7 years' experience working in a public accounting and/or law firm
CPA, MBA
preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and business understanding
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel
  • Any legal software experience preferred
  • Proven knowledge of legal terminology/systems/documentation
