Classification Title:
Manager, Administrative Services Classification Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Provides leadership and oversight for multiple administrative functions, including regulatory compliance reporting, financial administration, and business office operations. Manages personnel responsible for the Front Office daily functions related to departments Research Service Center which includes customer support, facility access, animal ordering, protocol compliance tracking, animal census counts and reporting. Plans, coordinates, and oversee departmental administrative and financial activities by assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of critical daily functions. Manages personnel responsible for processing and tracking all departmental expenses. Responsible for the detailed cost breakdown of expenses and revenue related to the Research Service Center. Coordinates with Husbandry managers across department to ensure proper allocations of operating expenses, salary distribution (staff time motion), space allocation, asset management, and effort reporting. Develops, maintains, and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other business processes to ensure compliance with university, state, federal, and sponsor requirements. Reviews and implement process improvements to enhance administrative operations, increase efficiency, and strengthen regulatory compliance. Establish operational goals, objectives, and performance measures that align with the department's strategic priorities and institutional initiatives. Serves as a subject matter resource for administrators by interpreting and communicating new or revised university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and advising on their implementation.
